WASHINGTON – A Mississippi farmer who made global headlines two weeks ago when he woke up in a body bag at a funeral home died Thursday, local media said. He was 78.
“Well, they came and got him again around 4:15 a.m.,” said a nephew of Walter “Snowball” Williams. “I think he’s gone this time.”
Williams, who entered a hospice in February because of congestive heart failure, was initially pronounced dead Feb. 27. He was transferred to a funeral home, only to start rustling inside a body bag — prompting astonished staff to rush him back to his hospice. Williams said he had merely fallen into a deep sleep.
