A new Thai charter airline partly owned by H.I.S. Co. will start commercial flights on July 19, the Japanese travel agency said.
Asia Atlantic Airlines will start with services between Bangkok and Narita International Airport and add a route linking the Thai capital and Kansai International Airport on July 27, the travel agency said Wednesday.
One round-trip flight per day will be offered on the two routes until late September.
Asia Atlantic will adjust its routes based on seasonal demand. It is considering flying to South Korea and China from Bangkok starting in October and to Russia and Indonesia in the future.
The airline plans to increase its fleet to 20 aircraft over some five years from two at present.
Asia Atlantic will sell tickets exclusively through H.I.S. for the time being, but is considering expanding its sales channels to include other travel agencies in the future.
