Softbank may pare eAccess

Softbank Corp. President Masayoshi Son said his company is considering reducing its ownership of eAccess Ltd. after acquiring the firm in February.

At a news conference Wednesday, Son said Softbank, the third-biggest mobile phone carrier in Japan, will obtain all outstanding shares in fourth-ranked eAccess as scheduled. After the acquisition, Softbank is studying multiple options, including holding the entire eAccess stake and another to pare the stake to a third.
