The Institute for International Business Communication is accepting applications from Japanese for a one-year internship at Cincinnati-based law firm Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP.
The firm will accept one or two interns who will assist lawyers and engage in administrative work.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree at a four-year university and work experience of at least two years either in the legal affairs division of a Japanese company or a law firm. Applicants must have high-level English proficiency.
Applicants are asked to send a designated application form, English resume and an essay written in English stating why they would like to be accepted. The application package must arrive at the institute’s Japan Center for International Practical Training by Sept. 30.
Applicants who passed the first round will be invited to an interview with the U.S. law firm in Tokyo in the second week of October. Applicants must pay 10,500 yen to attend the interview.
