The rainy season has ended in the Amami region off Kyushu, the Meteoroligical Agency said Sunday.
Although the season ended in nearby Okinawa on June 26, the annual phenomenon continues in most other parts of Japan.
In the Amami islands, part of Kagoshima Prefecture, the rainy season lasted 63 days, about two weeks longer than average, the agency said.
