Veteran TV celebrity Monta Mino's son has admitted stealing a man's bag on a street, police said Wednesday.
Yuto Minorikawa, 31, who works at Nippon TV, allegedly told the police, "I thought I would take whatever money I found."
He had consistently denied stealing the bag, but according to a police official, Minorikawa said Tuesday, "I feel sorry for the victim" and "I have decided to start over by speaking honestly."
He was arrested Sept. 11 for attempted theft after allegedly trying to withdraw cash from an ATM using the man's bank card and was served with a warrant for theft Tuesday.
