BEIJING – U.S. universities dominate the top 20 in global annual rankings released by a Chinese organization Thursday, with Harvard once again in top spot.
Only three non-American institutions made it into the top 20, all from Europe. Harvard has been in the No. 1 position since 2003.
The top five for 2013 also include Stanford, University of California at Berkeley and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The top 10 also included the California Institute of Technology, Princeton, Columbia and the University of Chicago.
The rankings are compiled by a center of Shanghai’s Jiaotong University.
