Tokai Tokyo, H.K. bank join hands

Tokai Tokyo Financial Holdings Inc. said Monday it has formed a business alliance with Bank of East Asia, a major independent bank in Hong Kong.

Under the business deal, the two financial institutions will introduce customers to each other, offer each other’s services to own clients and cooperate in promising business fields, such as asset management advisory and investment trust services.

Set up in 1918, Bank of East Asia has extensive business networks in Hong Kong and mainland China, where it operates more than 120 outlets.

Tokai Tokyo aims to meet a wide range of customer needs by capitalizing on the Hong Kong bank’s networks and providing its services, the company said.
