NARITA, CHIBA PREF. – Jetstar Japan said Tuesday that the cumulative number of passengers on its flights exceeded 2 million since the budget carrier’s launch in July 2012.
The period taken for Jetstar to top the 2 million mark was shorter than any of its domestic rivals, according to the airline.
“We will reach 3 million in several months,” Jetstar Japan President Miyuki Suzuki said.
In a ceremony at Narita International Airport, Suzuki presented gifts to the 2 millionth passenger, a 21-year-old man from Kunisaki, Oita Prefecture.
