Officials from North and South Korea agreed in principle Sunday to hold ministerial talks in Seoul on Wednesday, with discussions on the details of the planned meeting continuing, South Korea's Unification Ministry officials said.

The ministerial talks would be the first high-level talks in six years.

The working-level talks between the two Koreas are being held on the South Korean side of the truce village of Panmunjeom, and it is not yet known when the two sides could wrap up the talks and announce an agreement.
