The article "Empress shows possible signs of heart disease" in the July 31 edition tells us the sad news that Empress Michiko has a possible heart problem.
She has always been with people in times of difficulty. She has accepted the joy and sorrows of others as her own. She has visited various places within Japan and all over the world together with Emperor Akihito. All of her activities teach us that it is so important to help each other and strive for peace, because we live on the same Earth regardless of differences.
She is a great lover of trees and flowers. I believe that at this time the flowers and trees are also beside her with psychological care and support, praying for her quick recovery.
