The Hiroshima Carp have acquired right-hander Ryan Brasier, the Central League club announced Sunday.

The 29-year-old agreed a one-year deal worth $475,000 plus incentives with a $50,000 signing bonus after going 5-3 with a 3.56 ERA, pitching mostly in relief, for Triple-A Nashville (Oakland A's) this year.

"I hope to see him pitch in the seventh, or hopefully in the eighth inning. That will depend on how fit (reliever Jay) Jackson is," a senior Hiroshima member said.
