Vissel Kobe have agreed to renew Brazilian manager Nelsinho's contract for next season, the J. League first-division club announced Thursday.

In his second year in charge this term, Nelsinho led Kobe to the club's highest-ever finish of seventh place in the overall standings, having placed 12th in the first stage and runner-up in the second stage.

The 66-year-old Nelsinho joined Kobe from Kashiwa Reysol, which he steered to the J.League title in 2011 in the club's first season after being promoted to the top flight as J2 champion.
