Keita Obara will take on designated IBF challenger Walter Castillo of Nicaragua in Miami on Nov. 7 for the right to face Argentina's IBF super flyweight champion Cesar Cuenca, his Misako Gym announced on Friday.

"I thought the world (title) was way off in the distance but now I am in a position where I have to aim for it," said Obara, the super fly champion in the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation.

"I want to seize this chance with a win (against Castillo)," the 28-year-old from Iwate Prefecture told a press conference in Tokyo.

Obara has a record of 15-1 (14 knockouts).
