The Orix Buffaloes scored four runs in the 11th inning to beat the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks 5-1 on Sunday, handing the Pacific League's runaway leaders their first defeat in six games.

Issei Nakamura broke a 1-1 tie with a hit-and-run RBI double off Masahiko Morifuku (0-2), when shortstop Kenta Imamiya raced back but failed to make an over-the-shoulder catch on a flare to shallow left. Shunta Goto plated two more with a double and Kyohei Iwasaki batted in one more off Shingo Tatsumi to put the game to bed.

"It was my daughter's birthday today and my parents were in the stands as well," said Nakamura. "I popped it up and got lucky it dropped there."
