Miku Tashiro won the women's judo 63-kg class on Saturday, the first day of the World Masters Rabat meet.
Tashiro defeated Kathrin Unterwurzacher of Austria in the final of the event in Morocco's capital that is open athletes ranked in the top 16 in the world. Yuki Hashimoto lost the women's 52-kg final to Natalia Kuzyutina of Russia, while Nae Udaka won a bronze in the 57 kg.
In the men's competition, Naohisa Takato won the 60 kg, defeating Azerbaijani Orkhan Safarov in the final. Kengo Takaichi and Riki Nakaya won bronze medals in the 66 kg and 73 kg, respectively.
