In-form forward Takashi Usami scored a superb second-half brace and Japanese treble winner Gamba Osaka won 3-1 at FC Seoul in the first leg of the Asian Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday night.

Usami, the J. League leading scorer with 10 goals so far this season, volleyed home to open the scoring midway through the second half and Koki Yonekura added an equally impressive effort to put the 2008 ACL champions further ahead.

Usami completed his brace in the 86th minute with his fourth goal of the competition to put Gamba in control of the tie ahead of the second leg at Expo Stadium next week. Yu Jun-tae pulled one back for the home side in stoppage time.
