Reliever Kyuji Fujikawa will come off the disabled list in time for Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals, the Texas Rangers said.

"My last two outings were good, and I'm ready," Fujikawa said Wednesday, when he was told by general manager Jon Daniels that he would be rejoining the team.

Fujikawa had spent the last month on a rehab assignment after injuring his right groin just before the start of the season. The 34-year-old former Hanshin Tigers closer is in his first year with the Rangers, his third in the majors.

In 11 minor league appearances, Fujikawa posted a 4.35 ERA in 10⅓ innings.
