Junji Ogawa is set to stay on as manager of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows next season, club sources said Sunday.

"I think he will accept the offer (to stay)," a source said of Ogawa, who was on a one-year contract for this season, his third as manager of the Swallows.

The Swallows this year missed out on the Climax Series for the first time under Ogawa and are in last place in the Central League.

Ogawa, 56, took over as acting manager in May 2010, after Shigeru Takada quit, and was made manager in 2011.
