Chie Arimura carded five birdies and a bogey on Saturday for a 4-under-par 67 that left her tied for fourth place heading into the final round of the Shoprite LPGA Classic.

She and Sweden's Anna Nordqvist were four strokes back of China's Feng Shanshan, a five-time winner on Japan's LPGA tour, who also shot a 67 to go three strokes clear at 6-under-par 136. Haeji Kang of South Korea and overnight leader Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand were tied for second at 3-under 139.

Arimura, a tour rookie who opened with a 2-over-par round, hit 13 of 14 fairways and needed 26 putts, after making 32 the day before.

"It's been a while since I've just ignored the thought of missing the cut and just went out and played," Arimura said. "It was a wonderful feeling. I was making my shots and my putting complemented that."

"I know I can play better golf. I'm really looking forward to see what kind of game I can bring on the final day."
