Ryo Ishikawa shot an even-par 71 on Saturday to head into the final round in a tie for 58th at the Northern Trust Open.

The 21-year-old Ishikawa, who made the cut for the first time this season on Friday, had an up-and-down round that featured five birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey to reach 2 over for the tournament.

"I worked on changes to my putting at the hotel (after the second round) and reckon I can probably say for the first time this week I made a good putt (for birdie) on the 18th," said Ishikawa.

"I made a double bogey on the second hole but dug in well after that. I have been able to stay in the competition until the final round and will do my best over the last 18 holes."

Bill Haas shot a 64 and was three strokes clear of fellow Americans Webb Simpson and John Merrick and South African Charl Schwartzel at the top of the leaderboard.
