Forward Thomas Kennedy, a 19.0 point-per-game scorer, shot a disappointing 3-for-12 from the field in the Yokohama B-Corsairs' series opener on Saturday against the Tokyo Cinq Reves. But they won, and that was the important thing, he admitted a day later.

On Sunday, in the teams' final bj-league game of 2012, Kennedy was nearly unstoppable. He scored a game-best 27 points, including two dunks and 9-for-11 shooting from inside the arc. He sank 3 of 6 3-pointers, ran the floor with purpose and quickness, hauled in nine rebounds and energized his teammates in a 76-52 victory over Tokyo at Yokohama International Swimming Pool.

The B-Corsairs (16-6, tied for second place in the Eastern Conference) extended their winning streak to eight games.
