The B-Corsairs eliminated the Northern Happinets from the playoffs last season, putting a disappointing finish to the team's second season, and first under Nakamura, who had guided the Hamamatsu Higashimikawa Phoenix to back-to-back championships in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
On Sunday, Yokohama impressively put the finishing touches on a two-game sweep, trouncing the hosts 89-56 in Oga, Akita Prefecture.
