A Japanese woman has lodged a sexual harassment complaint against a 57-year-old Indian whom she claims molested her on a flight from Bangkok to Kolkota, police sources said.
The woman, whose identity is unknown, filed the complaint Friday at Kolkata airport's police station, saying the man molested her on a Thai Airways flight Thursday night.
Confirming the incident, the sources said that an Indian man, identified as Narayan Singh from the northern state of Haryana, has been arrested. He was to appear in a local court later Saturday.
Thai Airways officials in Kolkata said the plane landed in the city at midnight, but declined to give further details.
