Mitsui Fudosan Co. plans to build a 130-meter Ferris wheel, the tallest in Japan, in Osaka Prefecture, probably in 2015.

The Ferris wheel will be built at the 170,000-sq.-meter amusement site in the Expo '70 Commemorative Park and accompanied by seven buildings capable of housing roughly 300 shops and eateries, as well as a state-of-the-art multiplex, sources said Tuesday.

Mitsui Fudosan expects the complex to attract 20 million visitors annually, given that the commemorative park in Suita, the site of the 1970 World Exposition, has a direct monorail link to Osaka International Airport at Itami.
