Singer Yasuyuki Okamura was sentenced Thursday by the Tokyo District Court to two years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing and using amphetamines.

Okamura, 42, was arrested in February on suspicion of possessing and ingesting stimulants at his home in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. It was his third arrest and conviction in connection with stimulants. He was sentenced in 2005 to 1 1/2 years in prison for possessing stimulants while on parole.
