Rain (The Paper Gods #2)

"Rain" is the second book in the young adult series "The Paper Gods" by Amanda Sun and continues where "Ink" (the first in series) left off.

American teenager Katie Green is living in Shizuoka Prefecture with her aunt and struggling to fit in to her new Japanese lifestyle. Adding to her stress, is the fact that she's caught in a battle between the Yakuza and the supernatural forces that have governed Japan for eons. Oh, and she may just have fallen in love with a Kami (god) who can control ink and bring drawings to life.

As Katie and her boyfriend, Tomohiro, try to work out his connection to Japan's ancient gods they must unravel the truth about their dark ancestry and confront one of the darkest gods of Japanese legend.
