English-language French TV series "Jo" stars Jean Reno as a Parisian cop. The out-of-context English is weird at first but you get used to it, even though almost everyone speaks with American accents. French actors playing Americans pretending to be French is cool, apparently. And the stories are quite compelling. Unfortunately, the series was canceled in the first season.
