Pickles, an 8-year-old pointer mix, was taken in when she was found wandering the streets alone. Pickles is a looker and a lover. Her pretty spotted coat made her the model of ARK's T-shirts, and she is now pegged to appear in next year's ARK calendar. The adoration in her eyes as she gazes at a staff member speaks of the love shared by many at the shelter. With her big floppy ears, Pickles may look a bit goofy to some, but she is all the more endearing for it and seems to wear a constant smile on her face. About the size of a border collie at just over 18 kg, her size causes many to overlook her, but Pickles is a gem. Exuberance is her middle name, and when she bounces around, she exudes pure joy. She's the kind of dog that seeks a real partnership with people she trusts. Once you get to know her, she is, as one volunteer put it, "like an addiction."
