A 20-year-old U.S. Navy sailor was arrested Monday on suspicion of trespassing at a house in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture.

The arrest of Manuel Silva, a seaman serving on the aircraft carrier George Washington, is the latest in a series of incidents involving U.S. military personnel despite a curfew imposed on all U.S. forces in Japan between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., following the alleged rape of a woman in Okinawa by two U.S. sailors in October.

Police said Silva, who was drunk at the time of his arrest, admitted to trespassing on the grounds of the house owned by a 72-year-old woman in the port city at around 2:50 a.m.
