Despite the relative scarcity of his extant works, Leonardo da Vinci's experimental aesthetic, technical and scientific skills made him one of the most influential artists in history. Next year will mark the 560th anniversary of the birth of this much-admired Italian Renaissance artist.
In a collaboration with da Vinci experts, this exhibition explores the artist's interpretation of beauty, and helps explain why his ideas and works inspired so many. Two original da Vinci sketches that have never been shown in Japan before will be showcased, along with various works by da Vinci's apprentices and contemporaries; June 10.
