Yoshino, who testified about secret Okinawa reversion pact, dies at 96
Bunroku Yoshino, a former senior official in the Foreign Ministry who became the first among current and former government officials to testify in court about the existence of a secret pact between Japan and the United States over the 1972 reversion of Okinawa, died of pneumonia Sunday at his home in Yokohama, his family said. He was 96.

Accused Guam rampage killer not psychotic, jail's ex-psychologist testifies
The former psychologist at the main jail facility on Guam testified Thursday that a 22-year-old man currently on trial for the deaths of three Japanese tourists and the wounding of 11 people in a rampage in February last year did not show psychotic symptoms during the early part of his detention.
