I learned of the death of Yumi Ito, the last remaining member of 1960s pop duo The Peanuts, while battling a giant moth that had found its way into my apartment.

Yumi Ito, the younger member of the pop duo Peanuts, comprising identical twin sisters, died May 18, a person related to her former management office said Monday. She was 75.

'The Peanuts Movie' stays true to its comic strip roots
There are no grown-ups in "The Peanuts Movie." More importantly, there are no villains or evil schemes. There's a gentle, insecure little boy named Charlie Brown, his beagle and a gaggle of friends — that's about it.

Good grief! Tokyo Peanuts museum will only be temporary
The world's second museum dedicated to Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang will open in Tokyo's Roppongi shopping and entertainment district in March for a period of 2½ years, according to Sony Creative Products Inc., the comic strip's exclusive agent in Japan.

The Charles in Charlie Brown
The advertising surrounding "Ever and Never: The Art of Peanuts" focuses on the cutest character from the classic American comic strip. So much so, promotions for this exhibition at the Mori Arts Center Gallery has been dubbed the "Snoopy Exhibit," a title that also graces the Twitter and Facebook accounts associated with "Ever and Never." It's not a bad strategy. Snoopy is in the same cartoon-icon tier as Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny — and he's especially popular in Japan.
