An interesting bit of symmetry occurred in the sumo world this week.

With the release of the new rankings for the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament, the Japan Sumo Association scheduled online interviews for media representatives with four top-division wrestlers.

That quartet — Ichinojo, Hoshoryu, Hiradoumi, and Mitoryu — was composed of one Japanese and three foreign-born rikishi — all with a background in underage or amateur sumo.
