Rain washes out play on fourth day of fourth Ashes test


Rain forced play to be abandoned late on the fourth day of the fourth Australia-England Ashes test on Friday.

There was no further play from 3 p.m. before the umpires decided to call off the day’s play.

There will be extended hours of play on Saturday, the final day.

Australia was 103 for two and trailing England by 61 runs with David Warner on 40 and Steve Smith on 25.
