The Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters have re-signed right-handers Luis Mendoza and Chris Martin for next season, the Pacific League club announced Friday.

Mendoza, who went 7-8 with a 3.88 ERA chiefly as a starter in his third season with the Fighters, agreed to a deal worth ¥190 million (about $1.68 million) plus incentives for the second year of his two-year contract.

Closer Martin missed the Japan Series due to an injury but pitched in 52 games during the regular season and posted 21 saves with a 1.07 ERA in his first season with the Fighters. He signed on for ¥100 million plus incentives.
