The Seibu Lions have acquired right-hander Brian Schlitter, the Pacific League club announced Thursday.
The 30-year-old, who has a 3-6 record with a 5.40 ERA in 78 games with the Chicago Cubs, played for Triple-A Albuquerque this past season.
Schlitter has been training with the Lions at their fall camp in Miyazaki Prefecture.
