Reliever Logan Ondrusek, who parted ways with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows last week, has signed a major league contract with the Baltimore Orioles, the team said on Friday.

Ondrusek, 31, went 8-3 with a 2.17 ERA in 102 games over two years with the Swallows. This season, he was 3-1 with 11 saves in 30 appearances.

"He (Ondrusek) pitched real well over there (in Japan) and has a lot of experience here in the (United) States, too," Orioles manager Buck Showalter told the club's website.

Ondrusek was with the Reds for five seasons and has appeared in 281 games in the major leagues.
