Yamaico Navarro, the Dominican infielder who was arrested after being caught with a bullet in his bag, will not be charged for violating the Japanese firearm law, the Chiba Lotte Marines said Tuesday.

Navarro has been suspended for the first four weeks of the Pacific League season, which begins on Friday. He also cannot play for the Marines' farm team in the Eastern League until April 9.

Navarro was arrested Feb. 21 during a security check at Naha Airport in Okinawa Prefecture. He was released two days later, and fined ¥500,000 by Lotte for his misconduct.
