Japan’s reigning junior world champion Shoma Uno, 17, topped the men’s short program on Friday with a personal best of 89.56 points, with Daisuke Murakami placing third (80.24).
Kanako Murakami was fourth after women’s short program on 58.30 points, with Haruka Imai (47.87) ninth.
