Hideaki Wakui threw 10 innings on Tuesday as the Chiba Lotte Marines wrapped up the Pacific League's regular-season schedule with a 9-3, 11-inning win over the last-place Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.

Before 21,135 at Kobo Stadium, which will be converted to a natural turf facility over the winter, Wakui (15-9) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk, while striking out three. He finished the season tied with Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters ace Shohei Otani for the league lead in wins.

Eagles starter Takahiro Norimoto allowed a run in five innings. His six strikeouts raised his season total 215, enough to lead the league for the second straight season.

Trailing 3-1 in the seventh, Lotte scored twice on two walks, a stolen base and an error. The visitors, who will open the postseason in Sapporo on Saturday, broke the ice in the top of the 11th when Ikuhiro Kiyota drew a one-out, bases-loaded walk. Daichi Suzuki followed with a two-run double.

Another run scored on a two-out wild pitch by Yusuke Nishimiya, Rakuten's ninth pitcher of the game, before Takuya Takahama delivered a two-run double.
