Masato Kudo scored the lone goal midway through the first half as Kashiwa Reysol beat Yokohama F. Marinos 1-0 for their first win of the J. League second stage on Wednesday.

Asian Champions League quarterfinalist Kashiwa successfully rebounded from a 3-2 defeat at home to Sagan Tosu over the weekend, and will host Kawasaki Frontale on Sunday.

Kudo's goal was the 52nd of his career, tying him for the club record with former Japan international Hideaki Kitajima.
