Needing just one more win, the Aisin SeaHorses wasted no time to extend the best-of-five series into a decisive game. Instead, they clinched the NBL championship in front of their loyal fans, who traveled from Aichi Prefecture.
The Western Conference club seized its first league trophy in two years with an 88-82 victory over the Toyota Alvark in Game 4 of the NBL Finals at Yoyogi National Gymnasium Annex on Saturday.
The game was played evenly in the first quarter, but Aisin outplayed Toyota both offensively and defensively afterward, capitalizing on its superiority inside.
