Dominant yokozuna Hakuho remained firmly on course for a seventh consecutive title with a stylish win over sekiwake Terunofuji at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament on Wednesday.

Winner of a record 34 career titles, the Mongolian timed his decisive move to perfection in the day's final bout at Ryogoku Kokugikan, breaking free from a stalemate and sending Terunofuji (8-3) down with a textbook pulling overarm throw to stay tied for the lead at 10-1.

Hakuho's Mongolian compatriot and fellow yokozuna Harumafuji (8-3) returned to his winning ways, getting his head into ozeki Goeido's (6-5) chest and charging him over the ridge.

Ozeki Kisenosato outmuscled No. 4 maegashira Tokushoryu (5-6) to stay in touch with the leaders one win back in a tie for second alongside eighth-ranked Takayasu at 9-2.

Kotoshogiku had no answer for Bulgarian bulldozer Aoiyama (7-4) and got blasted out of the ring with alarming ease to take a sixth defeat.

Sekiwake Myogiryu staved off a losing record for another day, prevailing in a slugfest before forcing out fifth-ranked Tamawashi for a fourth win.

At sumo's fourth rank of komusubi, towering Mongolian Ichinojo rallied to get both arms around Aminishiki (4-7) and shoved the veteran maegashira out for a fifth win.
