FALUN, SWEDEN – Japan, featuring veteran Noriaki Kasai, was left out of the medals after coming fourth in the ski jumping team competition at the world ski championships on Saturday.
The team of Kasai, Daiki Ito, Junshiro Kobayashi and Taku Takeuchi finished with a total score of 831.2 points, 16.9 behind Poland. Norway, which scored the highest in both rounds for a total of 872.6, denied Austria its sixth consecutive title.
