Newly crowned J. League champions Gamba Osaka were drawn in Group F with Seongnam Ilhwa, Buriram United and one of four east zone playoff winners for the 2015 Asian Champions League on Thursday.

The draw for the eight A-to-H groups was held at the Asian Football Confederation's headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. The group phase of the continental club championship starts Feb. 24, with the home-and-away final set for Nov. 7 and 21.

J. League runnerup Urawa Reds and third-place Kashima Antlers have also qualified for the competition. The fourth team from Japan will depend on the result of Saturday's Emperor's Cup final between Gamba and Montedio Yamagata.

If Gamba win, Kashiwa Reysol, who were fourth in the J. League, head to the playoff for a place in Group E with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Shandong Luneng and Binh Duong. The playoff is Feb. 17 against either Chonburi FC or Kitchee.

If Yamagata win, they will be in as Emperor's Cup champions and slotted into Group G with Brisbane Roar, Suwon Bluewings and a playoff winner.

Reds fall into Group G if Gamba win the Emperor's Cup and if Yamagata win, Group H with defending ACL champions Western Sydney Wanderers, Guangzhou Evergrande and a team from the playoff.

Antlers head to Group H in the event Gamba win and enter the playoff for a slot in Group E if Yamagata win.
