Former WBC flyweight champion Akira Yaegashi will fight top-ranked Mexican Pedro Guevara for the vacant light flyweight title on Dec. 30, it was announced on Monday.
The 31-year-old Yaegashi, who was dethroned as fly champion by Roman Gonzalez of Nicaragua in September, is ranked third for the bout to be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
