J. League first-division side Nagoya Grampus announced Thursday that Australia striker Josh Kennedy will leave the club at the end of the season for a move back to Australia.

The 32-year-old Kennedy, who arrived midway through the 2009 season, was the J. League's top goal-scorer in 2010 and 2011. Kennedy, missed playing for Australia in this year's World Cup due to lower-back pain, and has been limited to just 11 games this season for Grampus.

Kennedy is set to join Australian A-League club Melbourne City on a multiyear deal. He has scored 64 goals in 133 league games for Grampus.
