Takeya Nakamura hit his 30th home run of the season to tie teammate Ernesto Mejia for the Pacific League lead in the Seibu Lions' rain-shortened 7-0 victory over the Chiba Lotte Marines on Monday.

Nakamura blasted a solo shot off Marines starter Takahiro Fujioka (6-10) in the first inning, when the Lions pulled away to a 3-0 lead.

The game at QVC Marine Field was called with one out in the top of the seventh.

"(Hitting 30 home runs) isn't a goal for me," said Nakamura, who reached the 30-homer plateau for the first time in three years. "I've hit 40 before."

Takayuki Kishi (11-4) earned his 11th win with six shutout innings. He allowed just three hits and two walks.

Lotte has not scored in three straight games, a tie for the club worst. Fujioka was a shambles, allowing six earned runs on 10 hits and five walks in 6⅓ innings.

Eagles 5, Buffaloes 4

At Kobo Stadium Miyagi, Kazuo Matsui hit a game-winning two-run off Orix closer Yoshihisa Hirano (1-3) in the ninth as Tohoku Rakuten walked off to its third straight victory.
