Ryota Katsuki (2-0), Yomiuri's fourth pitcher, threw a scoreless ninth for the win. Giants starter Toshiya Sugiuchi yielded three runs — two earned — on six hits in seven innings of work. Rookie Katsuki Matayoshi (4-1) took the loss.
